Upon Luz's return, King and Eda reunite with her and aid her in befriending the Collector and destroying Belos once and for all. In the epilogue, King's developing Titan powers allow him to create a new glyph system, which he begins to teach Luz. Eda's curse begins to worsen and despite Lilith's attempts to help her, she refuses to have anything to do with her. Eda begins focusing on helping Luz achieve her goal to the point that she begins to fear that she is incapable of setting out on her own, especially due to her more happy-go-lucky way of doing things. She then starts to laugh at herself, realizing how much she has changed, admiring a picture of her, Luz, and King from Grom. She then hears Luz and King doing some exercise, and Eda looks out the window to hear what they are talking about. Luz asks King about what he is going to do when he meets his father, and he begins to say that he will leave and ugly cry. This surprises Eda, and her closing her window gets the attention of King and Luz. King then tells Luz he isn't ready to tell Eda because he isn't sure how she'll react, not knowing that she is feeling disappointed, believing that Luz and King want to move on with their lives and leave her behind.

Suddenly, Eda passes out from the effects of the curse, forcing the trio to cut King's slayground time short and return home. Eda crashes on the couch, and Luz offers to get the elixir for her mentor, but she assures Luz that she can get it herself. Months later, after returning from the Human Realm, Luz, Willow, Gus, Amity, Hunter, and Camila Noceda arrived at the Owl House and find it still abandoned and covered in graffiti. They went there for a while, Luz rested in Eda's nest, Hunter stood outside, while Camila spoke with Gus and Willow for some advice, she needs to help Luz stop making a bad decision.

However, after a conversation with Hooty, she decides to enroll Luz in Hexside, and goes to make amends with Principal Bump in order to achieve that. Four years after Belos is defeated, Eda has become headmaster of the University of Wild Magic. She has fully mastered her Harpy form and has replaced her lost right hand with a golden hook.
Despite what the future may hold, Luz and King still need her more than she realizes. Suddenly, they are captured by Darius and Eberwolf, but Eda manages to escape while Raine holds them off. Despite not wanting to leave them, she returns to the Gland Prix in time to see the winners. While drinking her sorrows away on apple blood at the Grimgrub's Pub, two emperor guards apprehend a wild witch.
Eda and Raine knew each other way back, and it was because of her they started their little rebellion after realizing the Emperor was prioritizing coven recruitments through force and punishing anyone who stood out of line. Refusing to stand for that, they carefully stood up the ranks, becoming the new Head Witch of the Bard Coven, and found people who wanted to change things. Eda sneaked into the room holding King's crown in the Conformatorium with Luz and King. Instead of arresting her, he decides to ask her out, saying he finds her alluring. Unfortunately, his crush on Eda proves to be one-sided, as Eda doesn't feel the same way about him. The two encountered each other again at the Bonesborough Brawl in "Reaching Out".
But, at the same time she is sad by the realization they will someday day leave her. But, because of the curse, her magic causes everything around her shrivel and die. Together, Eda and Raine perform Eda's Requiem and cause everything and everyone around them to shrivel and die, even themselves. Eda is prepared to make the sacrifice, but after Raine sees the picture of her with Luz and King, realizing she has a family, they stop her. However, they convince her not to abandon them so quickly and that she should confront her fears, just like Eda told them years ago. Suddenly, they are captured by Darius, but Eda manages to escape while Raine holds them off.
